‘The Lime Monster’ Reprinted

Flash Fiction Online has kindly reprinted my story “The Lime Monster” in their latest issue. This piece was originally published in The Future Fire in 2020 and was described by their editor as “quiet, almost poetic story, with an understated speculative component, almost like a reverse Silent Spring.”

This piece is a fantastical interpretation of my own childhood living on a farm in the middle of a large suburb. The land was constantly “under attack,” contractors wanting to buy and subdivide it into cookie-cutter housing. Enter: the lime monster.
